Afghan Kitchen

Usually a busy spot, a friend and I managed to walk in and get a table around 6pm on a Wednesday evening. As we had tickets to an event starting at 7pm, we let the waitress know and she assured us that she would be speedy with our orders. Sure enough, she was quick with our wines and our orders of lamb with spinach, pumpkin with yogurt and side of rice were served within 10 minutes. The presentation was very minimal with a home-made feel, which left the food to speak for itself. The lamb was deliciously tender, stewed with spinach and the vibrantly orange pumpkin was slightly sweet with a hidden spicy kick somewhat offset by the yogurt dressing. It was all very tasty and filling and I would be keen to return and try other dishes on the menu! All the tables were full as we were leaving with a small queue forming outside, so either go for an earlier sitting or reserve if you can and bring cash!
